Munster Rivals Clash In Allianz Hurling League Opener

The Allianz League series is off and running for another year with some exciting games already. Cork got the better of Kilkenny yesterday evening with Conor Lehane leading the way for The Rebels in a fine display and a scoring tally of 0-11. Shane Kingston grabbed the vital goal as Cork won by 3 points.

At Croke Park, Offaly won by 13 points against Dublin in what must be an incredibly morale boosting win for a hurling-mad county starved of success in years gone by. Offaly legend Michael Duignan certainly enjoyed the win and even people who don't follow hurling can sense how much turmoil Offaly hurling has been in in recent years just by reading his Tweet after yesterday's game.

Today, Clare take on Tipperary as the opening round of fixtures continue. Clare had the handicap of missing Ballyea players for last year's league campaign but have no such problems this year. Seamus Callanan remains on the sidelines for Tipperary and manager Michael Ryan has named some new faces in his starting XV with the likes of Bubbles O'Dwyer, John McGrath & Brendan Maher making way.

What time is throw-in and where can I watch it?

The game starts at 2pm and can be watched live on televison on TG4 with highlights of yesterday's games beginning at 12:40pm if you want to catch up.
