Allianz Football & Hurling Leagues Predictions - What are the best bets this weekend?

Dublin have made a perfect start to this year's league campaign with wins over Kildare, Tyrone & Donegal and you'd have to fancy them to continue that form over Mayo on Saturday evening. Dublin have the clichéd transveyor belt of talent coming through whereas Mayo seem to be a squad that seems a liitle stagnant right now. Selection is a Dublin win.

Fermanagh have a 100% record so far in Division 3 and seem to be enjoying life after the departure of Pete McGrath at the helm. With Derry enduring a difficult year and the absence of the Slaughneil contingent, we're going for a Fermanagh win.

Carlow are flying high in Division 4 and take on a Waterford team with just a point to their name so far. Carlow have smashed in 6 goals goals so far and you wouldn't rule out another couple at least here today. Carlow win.

Donegal and Kildare have both yet to register a point in Division 1 of the football but if Donegal can produce the level of performance that they showed against Dublin, then they should get the win in this encounter. Paddy McBrearty in sparkling form that day in Croke Park as they fell to a respectable 5-point defeat. Donegal to get the win.

Our sole pick from the hurling comes from the Munster battle between Cork & Waterford. Just a win separates the two in the table but Waterford's performances suggest they are electing to gear up slowly towards the Championship campaign. Cork have suffered two defeats at the hands of Clare & Kilkenny but have been thereabouts and they can get the win to heap more misery on The Déise. Cork to win.
