A busy Friday night kicks off Guinness Pro 12 Rugby Round 6 with 3 games all televised LIVE

Friday Guinness Pro 12 Preview

Connacht v Ulster - Back Ulster with betway at 1.50

Connacht host Ulster and in doing so will be taking on Ulster with a 100% record this season. With the hosts having a very poor record against this opposition the bookmakers favourites are rightly the league leaders. Betway are best priced at 1.50 and even though it looks a bit on the short side, it is going to attract a lot of interest, rather than trying to fathom the handicap market. Connacht will be throwing everything at Ulster and thus it could turn out a tight low scoring affair, or indeed, with the emphasis on the attack, open things up to make things comfortable for Ulster. The advice would seem to be stick with the match bet and try for a 50% return on investment here. You can watch the game live on TG$ or BBC Sport NI

Overall Guinness PRO12 head to head record:
Played 26, Connacht won 3, Ulster won 22 and 1 game drawn

Edinburgh v Benetton Treviso - Under 43.50 point total 1.90 with Bet365

Even if we ignore Treviso's woeful away record, which would be folly in any case, let's also consider that they come into this match with no fewer than 11 first team players on the injury treatment table. not ideal when visiting Edinburgh who will be equally determined to turn around a poor run of form in front of the home crowd at BT Murrayfield. The Scot side fought hard last week but were let down in the technical aspect of thier game, something that will have been worked on in prepeartion for Friday's game. Treviso are not a bad side, but just not a very good one. There is no value in the match price in this fixture and a +13 handicap at 1.7 is of no temptation in this quarter either - Favoured is a bet on the match totals and going under43.50 points in what could be a cagey and uninspiring match up

Overall Guinness PRO12 head to head record:
Played 12, Edinburgh won 8, Treviso won 4.

Ospreys v Cardiff Blues - Back Opsreys to win by 1-12 points with Betway at 2.50

Arguably the most straightforward selection of the Friday night games will be Ospreys to outpoint Cardiff Blues at the Liberty Stadium. Nigel Owens takes charge of this Welsh Derby. Cardiff will be reeling after letting go of a ten point half time lead last week, whilst the Ospreys are coming into this off the back of consecutive defeats again Leinser and Ulster but such was the performance last time that the home side are making only a single change. It should be a great, hard fought derby with the Osprey just coming out on top, remember, Cardiffs defeat last week was their first of the season but they could go down to a second here by the narrowest of margins. Advice is to look to Ospreys to edge this in the 5 way margin market, and taking a home victory between 1-12 points. At 6/4 with betwat it looks the value bet of the round

Overall Guinness PRO12 head to head record:
Played 26, Ospreys won 18, Blues won 7 with 1 game drawn.

Saturday Guinness Pro 12 preview

Leinster v Munster - Leinster by 1-12pts at 2.50 with Bet365

Leinster have a 4-1 record so far this season and can extend that to 5-1 against muster on Saturday at the Aviva. Thos eof a cautious nature might want to recall their only defeat here has come at the hands of Munster in the past however. Whilst the stats followers will be aware that Munster have lost just once in their last 7 Pro 12 fixtures, and then that only by a single point. Suffice to say this in not an easy match to predict. The record of Leinster against Munster here though is duly noted and in what could be a tight game, a 1-12point victory for Leinster is predicted at odds of 2.50. The game is a must watch and live on Sky Sports and TG4

Overall Guinness PRO12 head to head record:
Played 29, Leinster won 17, Munster won 12.

Scarlets v Newport Gwent Dragons - Bet365 go EVENS Newport Gwent Dragons +12.50

You may have noticed the omission of Zebre v Glasgow for the 5.05 kick off at in Italy - Zebre will lose. There, that's that one covered and onto the last match of the round  and the second Welsh Derby of the big weekend as Scarlets host Newport Gwent Dragons who sit three points behind them in the Pro12 table. Dragons have lost three on the trot, the last victory coming at the start of last month, whilst Scarlets are looking strong and are in search of a third consecutive victory. The betting suggest this will be one way traffic, but we feel it could be a bit closer than the betting suggest with Scarlets as short as 1.17 to win the match and 1.91 on a -12.50 handicap. Whilst Newport Gwent dragons will probably not come away with the victory, it's a derby, it will be hard fought, tactical and everyone will be playing for every ball. Scarlets may not have everything thier own way and Dragons can limit them to a more slender victory than the handicap suggest. Take Newport +12.50 at Evens for the bet.

Overall Guinness PRO12 head to head record:
Played 26, Scarlets won 21, Dragons won 5.
