In the Jack L Handicap at 6.50 attention is on SILAS R who ran his final race for Mark Prescott at Fairyhouse last time finishing 5th of 12 over 10f when an unconsidered (by most) 20/1 shot. Shop window performance perhaps as running for Farrell today for the first time we may very well see a different performance and certainly some 'improvement' for that first outing of the season. Not a huge price but plenty of value available on past best form.

We don't need to look too far down the market to find the winner of the Handicap at 7.20, indeed focus should be put on the head and Jim Bolgers QATARI HUNTER who will be looking to make it four on the trot. Yes this is tougher but this one is improving all the time and now is not the time to be deserting one in such a good run of form
The Leopardstown Handicap at 7.55 gives us an opportunity to play one at a very nice price, Double figures and around 14/1 is available as I write for PLOUGH BOY who was out of sorts last time out. Has something to find based on that outing but the booking of the jockey who has won three times and placed on a further occasion from just 8 rides on him is a positive. One for each way players with a nice bonus if he finds the winners enclosure
In the 8.30 we look to young Joseph O Brien to saddle the winner with his UDOGO. He may be vying for favouritism by race time tonight who return to the venue of a previous distance victory. Consistent form put him very much in the mix to complete the quartet of picks for Leopardstown racing tonight
