Well, we went after perfect women yesterday and ended up in the same position anyone looking for the perfect woman does... Empty handed!!

Onto Punchestown on Wednesday and we are looking to get the month off to a flyer, with three picks.

First up in the 6.20 we are swerving the Willie Mullins pair, side-stepping Henry De Bromheads Saddlers Risk and looking SANDYMOUNT DUKE square in the eyes, (as square as you can look a horse in the eyes!), and saying "It's time to deliver!)
Beaten favourite (4/11) last time out at Killarney last month, he found the handy and far more experienced The Winkler too good but 32 lengths ahead of the third-place finisher on his first outing over fences. The 137 rated hurdler has another attempt today at a course where he has a decent enough hurdles record. Robbie Power has a bigger field and may be able to get him a little more cover for a little longer today, as he looked to not be so keen being in front from four out last time and was not able to match the winner toward the finish but kept on well in any case.

In another handicap chase half an hour later at 6.50 we have a selection that has yet to win over fences but has been found perhaps an easier opportunity than which he contested last time out at Limerick. on that occasion, he could do no more than keep on at the same pace to finish fourth on his handicap debut. Today CHIEF OF PANAMA is fancied to achieve at least one place better than that and provide each way players with a return.

Finally, we have a third selection for the night with TEMPO MAC carrying the weight of OLBG expectation in the handicap hurdle at 8.20. This is a typically wide open affair but the selection return to the venue for his latest victory two runs ago for Gordon Elliot. he picked up a 9lb penalty for that win and it seemed to stop him in his tracks last time at Killarney, although perhaps he is more suited to a right-handed course. [perhaps] - In any case, his strike rate is pretty good, and he has only followed up a win with another once previously when sent to Cartmel with a shrewd piece of race placement. He doesn't look like he might be at the end of his ability as yet and the return here can play in his favour.
