Selected Tips & Previews For This Weekend's GAA Club Football Fixtures

There are a host of provincial GAA club championship fixtures this weekend with the focus on football. Leinster has its four quarter-finals being played with semi-finals to be decided in Munster, Connacht & Ulster. We're going to begin in Ulster as the 2017 All-Ireland finalists Slaughtneil take on Donegal champions Kilcar in Omagh this evening at 6:30 pm.

ULSTER SFC SEMI-FINAL ~ SLAUGHTNEIL V KILCAR (SATURDAY THROW-IN 6:30 PM)

Possiblly one for the purists? Slaughtneil's last two games have been low-scoring and edgy encounters. They overcame Omagh in the quarter-final in 0-10 to 0-08 scoreline. Kilcar won their county final in an unbelievably low-scoring game, 0-07 to 0-04. They seemingly stepped things up a little in the Ulster quarter-final however, scoring 1-16 in a thrashing of Scotstown in Clones. Paddy McBrearty was on fire that day scoring seven first-half points, four from play. With the McHugh duo of Ryan & Eoin also in the ranks, there's a capability to get at the Derry champions.

RECOMMENDED TIPS - EITHER TEAM TO WIN BY 1 - 4 POINTS OR A DRAW @ 1/3 / KILCAR OVER 0.5 GOALS @ 8/15

MUNSTER SFC SEMI-FINAL ~ NEMO RANGERS V ADARE (SUNDAY THROW-IN 2:45 PM)

Nemo Rangers needed a replay to win the county-final against a plucky St Finbarrs. They bagged four goals in the replay coming from four different scorers. Luke Connoly was amongst the goalscorers that day and he's very much the main attacking threat for the Cork side with Paul Kerrigan also someone Adare will have to keep quiet should they have any hopes of winning. Adare won their first senior football title ever and were playing intermediate football last year. They've made huge strides and will be hoping to take a lot from this game as they look to develop even further.

RECOMMENDED TIPS - NEMO RANGERS TO SCORE THE FIRST GOAL @ 4/7 / LUKE CONNOLLY ANYTIME GOALSCORER @ 6/4

CONNACHT SFC SEMI-FINAL ~ CASTLEBAR MITCHELS V TOURLESTRANE (SUNDAY THROW-IN 2:00 PM)

Mitchels faced a tougher than expected battle against Mohill in the quarter-final. They led by two points at half-time and came out in the second-half playing well to double their lead. They faced a scare though as Mohill scored four without reply to level things up. It took full-back Ger McDonagh to come up the field to land an inspirational point to get them going again and they never looked back since that score. David Stenson kicked three from three with his frees and with Neil Douglas and Cian Costello also contributing three points to the cause.

RECOMMENDED TIPS - CASTLEBAR MITCHELS TO SCORE THE FIRST GOAL @ 8/15 / CASTLEBAR -8 HANDICAP @ EVS

LEINSTER SFC QUARTER-FINAL ~ RATHNEW V ST VINCENTS (SUNDAY THROW-IN 2:00 PM)

St Vincents have been Leinster champions three times since 2013 with a serious panel of hungry players to choose from. They beat Ballymun Kickhams in the county-final by a goal with Diarmuid Connolly the pivotal figure scoring 1-1 and proving a handful for his Dublin team-mate Philly McMahon.

Rathnew won their last provincial title back in 2001 and you'd imagine it'll take something special for them to add to that this Sunday. They performed well in the county-final against Blessington, scoring three goals and winning by five points.

RECOMMENDED TIPS - DIARMUID CONNOLLY ANYTIME GOALSCORER @ 7/5 / ST VINCENTS TO SCORE THE FIRST GOAL @ 4/7
