13.40 Fontwell - Risk and Roll

Risk and Roll has good results recently with 2 wins and a place in his last 3 starts, and made his return after a wind surgery 8 days ago at Taunton when he won by 14 lentghs in a class 3 Handicap hurdle and despite a 7b penalty will be hard to stop today , and has good chances to make the double.

13,40 Fontwell RISK AND ROLL
Risk And Roll carries a 6 pound penalty for its last time out win at Taunton over 19f in a higher level Class 3. But as the horse won by 14 lengths, that shouldn't be enough to prevent it recording another victory. That last win was on heavy but it has also won on good going before

2.25 Newbury; MR TOP HAT

While the Berkshire track is considered to be one of the country's fairest, course form is quite often relevant and Mr Top Hat has that course form, having been placed on 2 of the 3 occasions he has raced here. Hopefully, that familiarity will help him overcome the fact that he may not be quite as classy as some in the line up and he can at least place at very rewarding odds.

4.10 Limerick: Warnaq

Only his 2nd race in handicap company but won his debut race at this level convincingly by 6 furlongs at Naas at the end of last Month. Up in trip from a mile to 1 mile 3 but on his last performance should not present too much of problem.

Scottish National; BEWARE THE BEAR

Given what is happening vis a vis the UK, USA and Russia, Nicky Henderson's inmate would be a very appropriate winner. Ran a very respectable 4th, lto, at the festival on unsuitably heavy going and, with conditions drying by the second, can run a big race at a very good e.w. price (25/1). Ticks quite a few boxes in the 'strong trends' department.
