Limerick beat Harps 1-0 in the Cup last weekend and they also beat Bohs 1-0 the home game before. Limerick have won seven of the last eight at home to Harps and I fancy the home win tonight.

The head to back at home to Finn Harps for Limerick sits at eight wins and one score draw in the last nine and after an FAI Cup win over Harps last weekend this is a good chance for Limerick to pull well clear of the bottom three. Harps are not scoring goals and Limerick can add another 1-0 to their winning home run, double chance for Limerick.

Athlone are bottom and have conceded 64 goals so far this season, Cobh Ramblers on the other hand sit second and have won their last three as they chase Waterford in top spot. Away win.

Athlone shipped seven against both Longford Town and Cork City and they face a Cobh Ramblers side here who have won the last three First Division matches and keep it very tight at the back. Cobh double chance might well win to nil again.

I am willing to ignore Shelbourne winning at Waterford in the Cup a few weeks back, anything can happen in the one off ties but based on league form and home form especially Waterford should edge out the Dublin side tonight. UCD, Athlone and Cobh Ramblers have all been beaten at Waterford in the league recently and I fancy the leaders to get it right tonight.

Question marks over whether or not Rashaan will last the 3m today or run out steam and if earlier results go the way of Ruby Walsh I can see Cap D'aubois shortening ahead of this Kerry Foods Hurdle. A winner over 3m at Tipperary carrying less weight, Cap D'aubois can outlast the favourite.

Second in June, July and August, Mountain Rock is due a big run and the 2m 4f should suit more so than the 2m 6f in Downpatrick last time out. Trip should suit and the lure of Ruby on the favourite can be ignored to back Mountain Rock.

Davy Russell on the favourite here for Gordon Elliott, Boytonrath was second at Tramore 12 days ago and can go one better off a similar mark.

Back with Dermot Anthony McLoughlin the trainer who Dixie Lee won two bumpers under last year at Limerick and Down Royal, the six-year-old has course and distance form and Mark Enright can land a winner in the second.

9/2 in the morning paper, the three-year-old performed quite well on debut and has been backed for Noel Meade. Vision D'ete can take on Thomas O'Malley and win this Down Royal opener.
