I am going to take a chance with Monsiuer Joe here. it has been over to Ireland a few times now but has not run to form this year and has dropped through the weights. I can't see Midgeley persisting if its not showing something at home and with the amount of winners in big sprints this year I wouldn't be surprised to see it go in

Alphabet has taken a while to get going but the run lto over 5f was pretty good considering the company. It couldn't hold on from Carravaggio but was well ahead of Cotai Glory and Caspian Prince. That is decent form in the context of this race with a fav that has only been out once this year.

Interesting that High Kicker runs here for the first time after 24 runs and just 2 wins. More interestingly is that Smullen is on board who is 33% for Fahey and this could go very well today.

De Coronado is worth a bet here. this will be its 3rd run at Dundalk and with a win and a place it s clear it likes it here. Lto it was beaten by SPruce Meadows and in front of Poitin however that didn't get the best of runs. De Coranado was very very wide though round all the corners and must have lost significant ground doing this. A better run here will suit.

This looks a fair price cobsidering Walsh is on... he doesnt ride much fir the trainer and only rides this when it seems to have a chance .. 1 win and 4 places from 6 rides... I'll take my chance here as it has form over 3m and on heavy

Cardiff win this match last year but it has been glasgow's win the previous 3 years and the way the 2 have started suggests Glasgow should get the better of them again

Cardiff look in dire straits losing to Edinburgh at home who then got beat by Treviso while Glasgow have been to Connacht and won as well as seeing of the OSpreys. Unless things have changed at Cardiff in a week I fancy a decent win for Glasgow

Vinnie Luck may not have the obvious profile for winning this race but does perform on the heavy ground and has won over 3m on the P2P circuit. What interests me is choice of jock in Codd. Winters has a good record with his horses when the top jocks are on board and they are used sparingly. This obviously interests me.

I had backed this earlier in the week here with it switching back to hurdling, however teh same still stands for it .. it has a win at Listowel has a win on soft ground and its best distance in 2m4f. Worth a bet as it was pulled a few days ago and obviously this is seen as the better option

An interesting runner for Gigginstown here running on handicap debut., I twon over 2m4f lto winning by about 10l over 120 rted horses. It has an opening mark of 131 and off a low weight can improve on teh step up. Gigginstown have won the last 2 kerry nationals and the low weights often seem to do well as do teh younger horses.

mawaany has run extremely well the last twice when in a tight finsh with Riven Light and Sea the lIon and then just not leasting out at Galway when well clear of the rest of the field. The ground suits and it has winning form here.

Snazzy Jazzy showed a very good turn of foot at WIndsor to clear away from the field with a subsequnt winner and surely has more to come.

Sir Jack Yeats sets the standard here with 3 wins from 4 chasing, however with another 10lbs for the last win i just suspect it may be vulnerable to an improver. Bilko was always going to go chasing and on handicap debut it may just be on a mark that has plenty of wiggle room.

Dartmouth is worth a little bet here. Order of St George is the rightful fav but Dartmouth has been running well and only lost lto on the nod. It seems to go better on ground worse than good and at this price is worth a small bet

Swift looks a great price here in a tough race to figure out. It is switching back to hurdles after a very good run lto first time chasing when just getting touched off. It has a win at Listowel and on the soft ground and is just 6lbs above its last winning mark. Its clearly in good health with the winner of its race lto going on to win again nto.

Brave Poppy has just the 3 runs behind it but those have been pretty strong in the context of this race. Looking at ratings i would suggest Brave Poppy is around the 120 mark and has the potential to improve over further. That would see this McManus runner difficult to beat.

Sea of Grace could not have been more impressive when winning lto. It cruised up to the leaders just over1f and when asked for an effort (hands and heels only) cleared well away from a decent field and subsequent winner. hard to go against it here.

It looks as though it will be advantageous to follow the English trainers in this race with only 3 previous races the English raiders have been 1st and 2nd , 1st and 3rd and 1st, 3rd 4th 5th. I have to go with Al Qahwa here who I still belive has more to come. It has raced best at York and has been unfortunate a couple of times in running. O Meara obviously believes in the horse with the entry here and 20s may be too big.

Had an alert for this one after its run lto when a very fast finiishing 2nd behind Johnny Barnes, It never got the break till the race had developed but is worth a bet today. has previously won on soft ground.

Difficult to find something to beat Churchill here who was a very good second over today's distance behind Ulysees and beating Barney Roy.. some others in this field were well beaten that day and shouldn't be a worry either today
